OROP 2 revision table 2019: find the right PCDA pension table
OROP-2 revised pension from 1 July 2019. The Ministry of Defence issued the final order and 121 tables on 20 January 2023; PCDA circulated it as Circular 666. Match pension type, personnel category, rank/group and qualifying service from your PPO. If your existing basic pension was higher, it remains protected.

Who is covered
The tables cover eligible defence pensioners and family pensioners of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Defence Security Corps and Territorial Army who were drawing an applicable pension on 1 July 2019. They include commissioned officers, honorary commissioned officers, JCOs/ORs and non-combatants (enrolled).
Circular 666 lists exclusions including reservist pensioners, ex-gratia recipients and specified foreign-service categories. Post-1 July 2014 premature-retirement/own-request cases require special handling; do not decide eligibility from a generic table alone.
How to read the PCDA OROP 2 pension table
- Choose pension type: service/retiring, ordinary or enhanced family, special or liberalised family, disability element or war-injury element.
- Choose personnel category: regular officer, specialist cadre, JCO/OR, DSC second pension, Territorial Army or another listed category.
- Match PPO facts: pensioned rank, X/Y group where applicable and qualifying service in half-year steps.
- Compare basic with basic: do not compare the table cell with bank credit containing Dearness Relief.

OROP 2 basic arrears checker
Enter the official OROP-2 table basic pension and the basic pension actually fixed. This checks basic short payment only; DR and partial payments are excluded.
OROP 2 and OROP 3 are different revisions
OROP-2 is the revision effective 1 July 2019. OROP-3 is the later revision effective 1 July 2024. Do not use a 2024 table to calculate a 2019 fixation or mix the two arrears periods.
How arrears were ordered
Circular 666 ordered arrears in four equal half-yearly instalments for most pensioners. Family pensioners, including special/liberalised family pensioners, and gallantry award winners were to receive arrears in one instalment. Actual credit history and later directions must be checked in SPARSH/PDA records.
