Terms of use
Plain terms, in the same plain language as the rest of the site. Using Sainik Desk means you accept them. They are kept short on purpose — a page of conditions nobody reads protects nobody.
Who runs this site
Sainik Desk is a private website, built and run by an ex-serviceman who also builds software. It has no connection, recognition or agreement with the Government of India, the Ministry of Defence, the Army, any Sainik Board, SPARSH or any other government body. The full version of that is in the important notice.
Everything you read here is free. Every page, every calculator, every guide — no account to open, no fee, and no part of it locked behind one. That does not change.
Two things are not free, and both are named plainly so that nothing on this site has to be guessed at: your resume can be read and reworked by hand, and your pension figure can be checked by hand against the rules. Each is a paid service — prices are on the resume page and the pension calculator, settled before any work starts, and never a condition of anything else here.
Beyond those two, we ask you for nothing. We never ask for money to release a pension, speed up a claim, correct a record or get you a job — and we never ask for Aadhaar, PPO or account numbers. If a page, message, call or person demands any of that in the name of "Sainik Desk", it is not us, and you should treat it as fraud.
What this site gives you — and what it does not
It gives information: what publicly issued rules, orders and memoranda say, and calculators built on them. It does not give legal, financial or tax advice, and reading it creates no adviser relationship of any kind.
Every figure here is an estimate. Your actual entitlement is what your Pension Payment Order (PPO) says and what your Record Office or pension disbursing office sanctions. Confirm your own case with them before acting on anything.
The calculators
They run inside your browser. What you type is not sent to a server, not put in the address bar and not recorded anywhere — the detail is in Privacy. Because of that, nothing you enter is saved: close the page and it is gone.
Using material from this site
Quote it, link to it, read it out at a meeting, paste it in a group — freely, with the source named. What is not allowed is copying pages wholesale to run as your own site, or passing this material off as government-issued.
The rules, circulars and orders explained here belong to the Government of India. The explanations, wording, calculators and design are ours. The rate file at /data/rates.json is public on purpose — use it, and say where it came from.
What you must not do
- Present this site, or anything taken from it, as official or government-approved.
- Use the name "Sainik Desk" to ask anyone for money, documents, Aadhaar, PPO or account numbers. We never ask for those — the contact page says so too.
- Break, overload or misuse the site, or automate requests heavily enough to slow it down for other readers.
Links to other sites
Links to government portals and other websites are given for convenience. We do not control what is on them and are not responsible for it. Always take forms and apps from the official source.
Advertising
The site does not currently display advertisements. It may use Google AdSense after approval. Advertising is served by third parties and may use cookies and similar technology as explained in Privacy.
An advertisement is never an endorsement — not by us, and not by any government body. No advertiser decides what a page says; that is settled by the editorial policy and nothing else.
The site may change or stop
Pages get corrected, rewritten or removed as rules change, and corrections are logged in public. There is no promise that the site stays up, stays complete, or stays free of mistakes.
Responsibility
Despite every effort, mistakes can remain. They are corrected as soon as they are found — but responsibility for decisions taken on the basis of this site rests with the reader, and we accept no liability for loss arising from them. So far as the law allows, the site is offered as it is.
If these terms change
They may. The "last checked" date at the top moves when they do, and a change worth knowing about goes into the corrections log like any other. Using the site after that means accepting the version then in force.
Law
Indian law applies, and Indian courts have jurisdiction.

These terms govern the use of this website only. They give no right in any pension, allowance or benefit — those come from your PPO and the office that sanctions them, never from a website.
