Corrections — the public mistakes log
Rules keep changing and the person writing is human — mistakes will happen. What matters is what happens next. Here it is this: the page is corrected first, then the mistake is recorded here permanently — what was printed wrongly, what it says now, when it was fixed, and who caught it (named with their consent).
The emptier this page stays, the better — but having it matters more than keeping it empty.
Corrections so far
- 3 August 2026 CSD Entitlement Checker — the four-wheeler matrix was out of date — Was: the checker and its table used the Jul 2015 policy — engine-capacity caps by rank (3000/2500/2000/1800 CC) with 4/7/10-year rules · Now: the current policy is CS Dte letter No. 95350/Q/DDGCS/Car Policy dated 30 Nov 2023, in force from 1 Feb 2024 — entitlement goes by pay level with price caps excluding taxes (L3–5 ₹8 lakh, L6–9 ₹10 lakh, L10–18 ₹20 lakh; EVs +₹5 lakh), an 8-year gap, lifetime counts for Levels 3–9, and pensioner widows/NoK expressly entitled against the unused quota · Caught by: our own pre-launch re-check against the live AFD portal. The old page carried its date and a "the AFD portal prevails" caveat from day one; the checker, table and rates.json now carry the current policy.
- 3 August 2026 Family Pension Calculator — Special Family Pension was understated at low emoluments — Was: the calculator applied only the general ₹9,000 minimum to Special Family Pension · Now: SFP has its own minimum of ₹18,000 a month (Pension Regulations for the Army Part-I, Regulations 113 and 120, w.e.f. 01.01.2016), and the calculator applies it — e.g. at emoluments of ₹26,900 the SFP is ₹18,000, not ₹16,140 · Caught by: our own pre-launch check of the Regulations. This page had flagged the open question from day one; the clause has now been read and closed.
